This year the PUP Port Loyola Committee and I held our annual Christmas program on Sunday December 16, at Cor. C.A. Blvd and Jane Usher Blvd in Belize City. The event was a tremendous success with more than 200 parents and children in attendance.
The children had great fun with the bouncing tarpaulin and everyone enjoyed the exceptional entertainment by Ozzy the clown. He had many crowd pleasing activities.
The raffle with over 23 items including several cases of lemonade and soft-drinks as well hams, turkeys, cell-phones, and the grand prize of a washing machine was also exciting and timely for the holy season.
Those in attendance also had great fun with musical chairs and other games. Everyone was delighted when a number of children and adults took the mike on the stage to wish their families and friends a Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year.
The Christmas program also included numerous gifts for children and refreshments for everyone with lovely Christmas music throughout the afternoon.
To help spread the joy of Christmas in Port Loyola this year, we also placed a beautiful Christmas tree in the center of the division in Miss Marie Lewis Yard Cor. Faber’s Rd and Central American Blvd. Opposite the Muslim School.
Sincere thanks to the Belize City Council for controlling the traffic, and the Police for ensuring that the various activities were all held without any issues. Sincere thanks is also extended to all the sponsors of the event, and the parents and children, who came out to have fun despite the chilly weather. Finally sincere thanks is extended to the members of the Port Loyola Committee and all other persons, who assisted in any way to make the 2018 Christmas program in Port Loyola a successful event.
