Chump Change for Hurricane Preparedness
$473,000 for Shelters; 4.5m for Castro’s Unfinished Road
Belize City, May 7th 2008 - With one month to go before the start of what forecasters predict will be an above-average Atlantic 2008 hurricane season, the Barrow Administration is showing Belizeans just how little importance they have placed on the nation’s emergency preparedness.

George Lovell says is of much importance, but when compared to the $4.5 million dollars approved for Edmond Castro’s unfinished road in Crooked Tree, it shows that the Barrow Administration does not find it a priority to keep Belizeans safe during a hurricane disaster.
