Belize
City, Thursday, October 23, 2008 --- After six
months of broken promises by the UDP government and City Council, the state of
the downtown Belize City area is in the worst condition in modern Belize City
history. Albert Street and Regent Street now require elevated four wheel drive vehicles
to traverse them. Most taxi drivers understandably will not accept jobs to
these areas because of the damage that the continuous craters will do to their
cars.
This is the best of times for the UDP.
While Belizeans worry about how they will put food on their tables, OW Mayor
Ravell Gonzalez demolished his old house and started building this mansion in
Orange Walk Town. He was only following in the footsteps of his colleague
Zenaida Moya, but just like with Moya, there are serious reports of
misappropriated monies and financial mis-dealings within Town Hall. Belizeans
want to know where UDP Mayor Ravell Gonzalez got the money. The spotlight's on
you, Mayor.
