Crime Today – Who Is To Blame?! Print E-mail

Almost everyday, a new opposition aspirant comes up with a new blame tirade. They point their finger in every direction at the government for crimes. They believe that they can solve the problem of violent crimes if they become the government, (right now- in waiting) and that they will remain. Some of them even go further to conclude that people commit crimes because of lack of jobs. In fact almost all UDP aspirants have been heard casting aspersions on black people by insisting that since things are hard, the black person will have no option but to go and jack somebody. Is it that things are not hard for other groups? Sedi, we have had enough of those instigations to violence.

The past few weeks have been disastrous for Dean Barrow and the UDP. But it has been a good time for Belizeans. It has been like a test the people administer to politicians. And the UDP have failed big time.

It is said that a person might pass through the education process without allowing education to pass through his being. In this case Patrick Faber may be said to be a living notable example. He definitely passed through school without allowing school to pass through him.

There has never been a time when politics was as vibrant as it is today in Belize. And there has never been a time when Belizeans were as engaged and involved in politics as in this time. All this has been possible through the progressive policies of the People’s United Party and Hon. Said Musa. But like every other country in the world, governments that take ambitious steps to involve the people and to create new opportunities run the risk of being misunderstood, and falling into the hands of a mischievous and deceptive Opposition.

UDP BCC Is A Dysfunctional Family

-Stiletto, “First Ting Da Mawning” with Joe and Juliet.

It couldn’t have been said any better. It came from the horse’s mouth. The horse himself said it. Who could doubt it? There is so much nonsense that comes from WAVE radio that deserves only to be ignored. But this one turned out to be different. This time they spoke only truth- a truth we have all known for long- the UDP “Belize City Council is a dysfunctional family.” They are not able to work together. Stiletto is the not-so abrasive one. That said, he doesn’t seem to tolerate conflicting opinions- anyone who does not think like him is, in his own words, “crazy Belizean,” “fool fool,” “kunu munu,” and all other derogatory labels he’s fond of spouting. No wonder many do not care anymore to listen to Juliet-Joe-Stilito’s “fuss thing da mawning” rants.
