Belize City, May 5th 2008 - The small community of Hope Creek in Dangriga has been
stunned by a chilling murder that occurred in the village last week. The
lifeless body of 20 year old Mark Anthony Young was discovered by Police two
days after he had been reported missing. It was the alleged killer, a 21 year
old of the same village, who led the police to the site where the body was
found, dumped in a small hole.
On Sunday April 27th Young’s family reported him missing
after he didn’t return home from work since Friday. When inquiries were made in
the village about Young’s whereabouts, witnesses recalled seeing him on Wednesday
evening at the RZ’s Turf, a local bar in the village.
