McIntosh said that night he was alerted that someone was trying to break into his house, and when he arrived at his Marage Road residence, he was attacked by a hammer-wielding burglar.

McIntosh said he found his front door open, and as soon as he stepped in he was attacked by the intruder who struck him on the head with a hammer.
