Belize City, Thursday, October 16, 2008 - Not only was Hon. Wilfred “Sedi” Elrington, Attorney General and Minister of Foreign Affairs, absent from UDP Prime Minister Dean Barrow’s press conference yesterday, but Barrow preferred that Elrington’s name not even be mentioned.

In his press conference held on October 15th, 2008 the Prime Minister attempted to explain away allegations against Belize City Mayor Zenaida Moya that she misappropriated taxpayer dollars by paying herself an unauthorized $3000 per month extra. According to the Prime Minister, the Mayor may have misunderstood the wishes of her Council.

Belize City, Thursday, October 18, 2008 - A release from the Belize Press Office late today confirmed that the United Democratic Party Government has decided to withdraw funding from the planned world class Belize Sports Center to be constructed at the Marion Jones Sports Complex.
