Well the People's United Party has certainly created more opportunities for this.

Certainly the health services have improved. The PUP’s agenda for health include the delivery of primary health care to all Belizeans.

The PUP government is now investing millions of dollars in a national health system.

The UDP was opposed to this PUP investment in providing, to you the people, this basic health.

While the UDP claim that they built the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, it was the PUP government which had negotiated the $55 million grant from the European Union to built it.

But despite that, the UDP left behind in 1998, a health system that was on the verge of collapse.

Today medical health services have improved at all levels from primary health care in the rural communities to high level specialized treatment in regional hospital.

Certainly you are better off with health care under a PUP government.

In education, millions of dollars have been built on more schools and classrooms, more and more of your children are getting an education, the government has provided more scholarships to high schools and to the University of Belize, they have built technical and vocational schools all over the country.

They have also provided free text books to primary school students .They intend to also make high school education free.

Recently the PUP announced a programme to give children lap top computers. This will help to bring them into the 21st century of communication.

Are you and your children not better off under the PUP? Are there not more opportunities for education?

The PUP government promised to revitalize the national economy which was on the verge of collapse during the UDP government of 1993-1998.

Now the national economy is robust. Massive investments by the PUP government, have invigorated the private sector. The proof of the pudding is that there have been more investments, exports have more than tripled, there are more job opportunities. The unemployment rate is now at an all-time low. Some would even say that there is no unemployment in Belize; it is simply that some people do not want to work.

Are you not better off now than ten years ago under the UDP?

More and more people are living in affordable housing. The PUP promised to build more homes and it did. It will continue to do so when it forms the next government

Crime has become a major international issue. It is not a problem that can be solved overnight.

The PUP government has invested more in hiring more police officers, more police transportation and high tech equipment to monitor crimes, although the Leader of the opposition continues to defend hard core criminals.

The PUP government has introduced a number of youth programmes to train young people in survival skills and in trades.

The PUP is strong on education as a way of uplifting people out of poverty. Youth –for –the Future and the Get-A-Lift programme, are too examples.

Are you not better off knowing that the PUP is taking action while the UDP talks in fancy language but do nothing?

When the government tried to slap controlled prices on basic consumer goods, the Chamber of Commerce and shop keepers made noise. The cost of important goods is a result of the rising cost of production and shipment,because of the price of oil. Things would have been worse if Barrow was successful in stopping the development of hydro-electricity in Belize.

You are better off now! The PUP WILL DO something about the cost of living when it forms the next government, NO MATTER WHAT!

The PUP is the only Party of positive change in Belize.

Better will continue to come when you vote for the blue party.

The UDP has no plan. It is only power hungry. Your laments will fall oo deaf ears.
