AMERICAN WINS HOLY SATURDAY RACE

American Rider Ryan Bauman is the new Cross Country Champion. He finished the Holy Saturday Cycling Classic with a new record of 5 hours 40 minutes and 23 seconds. Check this out: the guy is just 21 years young.

He rode for Santino’s Red Bull alongside Mateo Cruz who was 9th.

The second and first finish went to a Belizean, Michael “Big Wire” Lewis. His talent is very special. He now has 4 second finishes – 1986, 1989, 2005 and 2008. He came in first in 1992. His name is in the books 5 times now. That’s big.

Only Mr. Duncan Vernon has better stats with three 1st and three 2nd.

MAVS & SPURS STRUGGLE IN NBA

The Boston Celtics have the best record right now at 55-15.

The Detroit Pistons who stand at beat my Phoenix Suns in over time by 4 points on Sunday.

The Cleveland Cavaliers who have a record of 40-31 will be very dangerous in the playoffs.

The East is a bit weak but the West is very competitive.

I predict that the Dallas Mavericks will not make the playoffs this year. The Golden State Warriors and Denver Nuggets will edge them out. The Mavs’ star player Dirk Nowitki is out for at least 10 days. Their schedule is very difficult for the next seven games.

The San Antonio Spurs with a record of 47-23 are struggling at Seed 6. They will not survive the West because of the Los Angeles Lakers who are playing like they are in the finals. Lakers stand at 49-22. MVP candidate, Kobe Bryant, is giving great performances.

BOXING STATS

Cuban Joel Casamayor defended his title with pride over the weekend. The guy is 36 years young. He knocked out Casildes in the 10th round. The fight was very exciting with a couple of knock downs.

The Super-Lightweight Division is very competitive right now. Juan “Baby Bull” Diaz and David Diaz are in the top 10. The best fighter in the Division is at 10, but he will be Number 1 very soon. His name is Anthony Peterson. His brother Lamont Peterson is also dangerous but in the Welterweight division.

The boxing sport has lots of very competitive fighters right now. My main man is Manny Pacquaio, the Pac-man from the Philippines, is the most explosive and entertaining fighter.

DO OR DIE FOR FOREVER STRONG

Texmar Boys are in the finals already. They beat my team, Forever Strong Kraal Road F.C., two weeks in a row. The first game was 4-nil and then the other 3 to 1.

Benque Viejo DC United is playing very well. They crushed Estrella’s of Toledo 2 weeks in a row, 4-2 and 3-1.

The game with Forever Strong Kraal Road versus Benque DC United in Benque will be very interesting and a very critical one for Kraal Road Forever Strong. Benque wants a draw and Kraal Road wants and needs a win by any score.

I don’t like the playoff format. In both the Super League and BPFL the two Belize teams in both Leagues are disadvantaged by the format.

WILL BDF OUT FC BZE’S LIGHTS

Belize Defence Force is getting ready to put out the 2x defending champions F.C. Belize on Sunday at the MCC Grounds. BDF F.C. just needs a win, by any score.

Meanwhile in Cayo Hankook Verdes just needs a draw should in case F.C. Belize beats BDF.

F.C. Belize has to pray that Wagiya beats Hankook Verdes in Cayo. Verdes’ drought is on for over 22 years, just like the Boston Celtics. The last championship, for both of them, was in 1986.

The finals will be Hankook Verdes v.s. Belize Defence Force. We don’t know where the first game will play – it depends on the out come of the games.
