VERDES ARE CHAMPS

Hankook Verdes are once again the BPFL RFG Cup champions after 23 years. The game was well attended. The players played very rough and physical.

Orlando “Leechie” Jimenez scored the only goal in the 8th minute of play. The pass was made by his younger brother, MVP Daniel Jimenez.

The game was a good one. It almost tied 1-1 when BDF’s Brazilian Marko Souto blasted away a spot kick but it bounced off the post. If that had scored the game would have heated up a couple notches.

Big up Mr. Sergio Chuc, the owner of Hankook Verdes. Nuff respect to Shamir Pacheco, the best midfielder in the BPFL this season. Big up young Deon McCauley of the BDF. The kid will make Belize very proud.

Nuff respect to all the soldiers that attended the game to support BDF.

The new season will be opening in 2 months time. My crystal ball informs me that the San Pedro Dolphins will be the team to beat. Next week I’ll have more stats.

01, 22, 14… LUCKY BOLEDO NUMBERS

press-cadogan.jpgIn boledo predictions I foresee that 22 will be out this week alongside 01 and 10. My complete lucky numbers for this week are 22, 01, 14, 86, 51 and 34.

Last week was real bad luck for us. I am sorry and will make sure I make it up for you all with some big bucks this week.

My lucky BEL-3 numbers are 443, 801, 642 and 957. The Jackpots are 9245, 8710 and 3461.

89 is still the hardest number to play alongside 97, 02, 03 and 47.

A lot of low numbers will be out this week, so watch out for them. Nuff respect to all buyers. Good luck always. Remember to read your Psalms 115, 72, 91 and 92.

BENQUE DC vs. TEXMAR AT MANGO CREEK

Benque Viejo DC United has the home field advantage in the Super League finals against the Texmar Boys just like Hankook Verdes had in the BPFL RFG Cup Tournament. Let’s see if Benque DC will take advantage of this. Hankook didn’t because they drew their game in Belize City, but were able to capture the win at home.

The first game of the Super League finals will be played this Saturday in Mango Creek at 7:30. It will be live on LOVE FM. That game will be very crowded, but the second match will be the most hype because Cayo people are hungry for another championship trophy following the Hankook Verdes championship. The Cayo fans are in a happy zone right now. They are really supportive of their home teams and players.

Nuff respect to Roberto Muschamp and Hilberto Muschamp, two brothers of Texmar Boys.

The first prize is a whopping $30,000. And guess who is going to take it all? My prediction on the game is that the Texmar Boys will be victorious 2 goals to 1. They will be the Cayo District’s second champs. Next week I will have the rest of the stats.

NBA ENTERS PLAYOFFS

The Los Angeles Lakers are Number 1 and they will play Denver Nuggets who are Number 8 right now. The Phoenix Suns are Number 6 and they will try to beat the San Antonio Spurs at Number 3. Utah Jazz who are number 4 will take on the Houston Rockets who sit at 5. The Dallas Mavericks stand at 7 and they will challenge the upstarts New Orleans Hornet at 2nd place.

These match ups will be very entertaining. My predictions on the series go like this: the Los Angeles Lakers will beat Denver Nuggets in 6 games. It will be Allen Iverson vs. Kobe Bryant.

The Utah Jazz will school Houston Rockets also in 6 games. Tracy McGrady will not make it past the first round again. He will cry one more time.

The Phoenix Suns will send home San Antonio Spurs, the defending champions in 5 games.

The Dallas Mavericks will beat New Orleans Hornets in 7 games. There will be several buzzer beaters. Next week I’ll give you more stats.

JOHNSON BEATS DAWSON, BUT LOSES FIGHT

The Chad Dawson fight with Glen Johnson was very controversial. The judges gave Dawson, the younger fighter, the in a unanimous verdict. I believe it was an outright robbery against the older Jamaican-American fighter, Johnson.

Johnson almost knocked out Dawson three different times but he still lost. How come?

Overall the fight was very exciting and thrilling. It was a real sparring between two good fighters. This fight is also up there for Fight of the Year.

In the second match Antonio Tarver schooled Clinton Woods of England in a 12 round unanimous decision.

This Saturday Bernard “Executioner” Hopkins will clash with Joe Calzaghe of Wales this Saturday. Vernon Forrest will take on Sergio Mora on the 3rd May on Showtime; Paul Williams will defend his title against a right contender Quintana in the Welterweight Division.

Edgar Santana beat up Joseito Lopez in the under card fight Friday on Showtime.

MLB GETS GOING

The Chicago Cubs are playing very well. Their record early in the season is 8-5. Lou Pinella, the manager, has some good players to work with.

The St. Louis Cardinals and Philadelphia Phillies will be very dangerous. The New York Yankees are struggling. The New York Mets has Johan Santana, the best pitcher in baseball right now. The San Francisco Saints are doing their thing right now without Barry Bonds. The Seattle Mariners without Suzuki Ichiro are playing very well. The Detroit Tigers have lost seven games in a row. They are 3-10 right now.

The competition in the National League is balanced. The Chicago Cubs’ pitching staff is the best right now. Next week I’ll give you stats on the standings in the divisions.
