OPPOSITION LEADER NOW PM, BIG DIFFERENCE!

Prime Minister Dean Barrow seems to have done a hundred and eighty degree on the people of Belize because clearly what he promised before the elections and what he is saying now are two different things.

As Leader of the Opposition Mr. Barrow promised to “tek back the Oil” and even put “OWNERSHIP” in the UDP manifesto but now on oil Mr. Barrow has slipped and slid to where it is no longer we wah tek back the oil to we are talking to them and they will be producing diesel.

But it gets even more to the point of ridiculous. Barrow was talking all rhetoric on the high cost of gas, diesel and kerosene to the Belizean people because it is he who has raised the price of oil twice since taking office.

On the high cost of food stuff, Barrow has done little but stand by as Belizeans are gouged by shopkeepers. Now flour has gone up by a whopping 24 cents, while BEL awaits an answer on the 13.5% raise they seek.

This raises the big question. Did Opposition Leader Mr. Barrow lie to the Belizean people when he made his promises? If not, then as Prime Minister Mr. Barrow must deliver the goods.

DELROY HAD TO TAKE THE FALL

As the Prime Minister’s Press Officer who is Delroy representing when he calls press meeting? Who does he to talk for and who coaches him on what to say and what not to say? It has to be his boss. He had to hear the BEL talk amongst his peers and why were Joe and Juliet saying the same thing? Now it is clear that Delroy’s ego was out of line with BEL’s importance to Belize. But was he set up and if so who did? Was he a pawn in the PM’s PUC/BEL chess games? Tell the people UDP support BEL raise Delroy.

ENVIRONMENTALISTS STOP THE DREAD

Stop the press!! The Belize Audubon is railing up and the Forest Department has put a stop to Belize’s first dread Minister as he barrels through land in Crooked Tree with no authority.

As if inspired by some cosmic star, junior Minister Castro moved on the Crooked Tree Sanctuary like an environmental terrorist, tearing through with bulldozers.

What’s worst is that the evidence was shown on National TV that he, as Minister of State, was violating the Environmental Laws for clearance is needed for such a project. Thank God not everyone in the NGOs is UDP, and the people have put a stop to him.

OF DIS & DAT

Mayor Marconi Sosa gave a two hour spirited rambling yesterday on Live Benque TV as to why he was dissatisfied with the UDP Government and Erwin Contreras, especially their appointment of Said Badi Guerra from a pizza parlor in Chicago to Ambassador to Cuba.

After all, all Marconi is asking “what did Badi do that I hadn’t done better?” The man vexed.

DONE FISHY DEALS

Madame Bailey Martinez has been appointed to the post of SSB Chief Executive Office alongside her lawyer and champion, Lois Young Barrow as Chairman of SSB.

Laura Esquivel is on at BTB, replacing hardworking Mahler, while Panton continues to wreck up things as he is reported to have been in three BTB related accidents.

In the meantime Santino has been reportedly given the nod to get back the DPP office by the end of this month. The DPP must now move from the present office.

Now we hear that Lois Young-Barrow has been rewarded with an ambassadorship. She must be darn good. She is SSB Chair, was lawyer for BTL, lawyer for ACB, and lawyer for DFC Commission of Inquiry. Ain’t that a mitch!

INSIDE CITY HALL

So the mayor of Belize City is back from India or Indiana? What we want to know is: where is the audit she promised? Where is the money from the BTB, FSTV and PACT? Where the money from the Commercial Centre pawn gone? That’s what we want to know?

In the meantime, someone dropped another fact sheet, another bombshell on the Mayor. It’s accusing her of all sorts of bad things. Wow! Who could it be? Mr. Deputy?

AND SO…

Barrow has admitted that they have approved an increase on the cost of flour. Flour and gas prices have kept on going up.

Barrow‘s answer has been pass it on to the poor people of Belize. Things really haad out ya now.

It’s quarter after 11 am and one Joe Bradley is just going to work. If you check his pocket you may find three pay checks. As if to say there is one rule for me, and another for the people. Ha, ha, ha.
