A few months ago according to UDP rhetoric, there was everything wrong about dealing with Taiwan, China, and South Korea. The UDP made impressionable Belizeans believe that there is everything wrong with having a bilateral relation with all those nations. They called Belize and the Government of Belize all different kind of names for receiving much needed assistance and cooperation from them. The UDP promised they would never do that if elected into office. Well, it worked then. They were elected into the city and town councils. The first thing Moya did after the inauguration was to pay the same ambassadors a courtesy call. Immediately she was asking for different kinds of financial assistance. Boom! She was flying all over to their countries begging in the most despicable manner. At one point a mayor from one of the countries asked if she were the prime minister; because she was requesting for relations reserved for presidents and PMs.

Moya has also been so greedy that she has bullied other city councils out of the game. She has written all over to let those countries to believe that Belize City is the only municipality in Belize with a mayor. Implying all other ‘villages’ are staffed by councilors. Tricky Moya. And now as the head of the Association of Mayors, is it difficult to understand why she is trying to make them believe that whatever she collects is for all the mayors? Tricky Moya.

Now election has come around again, and all we can hear is the same old flakey song- birds singing in the same familiar tone. They are now after Venezuela. Joe and Juliet were so disjointed this morning, Aug, 13th, with Stiletto that even confused Michael Peyrefitte was forced to come to their befuddled rescue. He tried to explain to them that look, the Belizean people are listening and will not buy the idea that it is dangerous to get assistance, or to go into beneficial relationship with Venezuela. Joe rattled that America will be angry. But Peyrefitte insisted that it is good for Belize if the Prime Minister goes into such relationship. Then Joe became so acidic that Peyrefitte started dodging his position for safety. Wishy-washy ‘Mike.’

The UDP has deceived us before. It will not work this time. We have seen the difference. Joe Bradley does not think for us. When did he graduate from garbage collection supervisor to international and foreign relations expert. Because Joe has access to the microphone he believes we hear what he hears. Sorry Joe, we have heard that lie before supported by Dean Barrow. Today its Venezuela, a few months ago it was South Korea and Taiwan that were being demonized. Is Moya not on her way to the same South Korea again?

All those countries are welcoming Moya and her cohorts, not on their own merit, but because Belize is a good country under the able leadership of Hon. Said Musa. If Belize were a “ …Vagabond country..” as Dean Barrow and the UDP see it, would Moya and company be receiving red carpet treatment?

Maybe Barrow is afraid to acknowledge Belize’s high esteem in the international community. In Barrow’s twisted world-view to acknowledge anything positive about Belize is somehow or another endorsing the PUP. So Barrow continually talks negativity. He’s afraid to see the wonderful things others see about us.

Think about it.
