Everyone has his part to play. But Barrow and his aging “wonder boy” PR whiz, Delroy Cutkelvin can’t hear the people’s cry. Joe is deaf to the cry of the people, and Juliet is too high with the big shots hustling for future dream positions to be bothered by mothers’ cries. This is how they hope to rule: with iron fists, trampling everyone under foot.

Hopelessness is a disease of the human spirit. After everything has been taken from you, once you have hope, it will be alright. And the good book says that: “..hope does not fail us..” But Barrow and his cohorts are hell bent on breaking the spirit of Belizeans by insisting that there is no hope. This is wrong, Barrow! This is evil!     

Destroying the heart and spirit of Belizeans in order to become government is despicable.

Barrow screams about how the young men are killing each other and the government is not doing anything. How the young people are catching AIDS and the government is not stopping AIDS. After all the ongoing efforts and campaigns of the government and NGOs against AIDS, Barrow, what more do you want?

An individual’s private life as long as it is law abiding- should not be the government’s business. Young people should be taught to be responsible. And that is what the PUP government has been in the business of doing.

Every Belizean should be given an opportunity, by creating the right entrepreneurial and investment climate. And that is what the PUP government has succeeded in doing. We should discourage the handout and begging culture: this is what the UDP is bent on encouraging and instituting.

Barrow and his gang of rogues continue to encourage young people to commit crimes with impunity by displacing the blame. They continue to instigate violence by antagonizing the government and the police department, as they continue to incite discontent and hopelessness, we the Belizean people will be waiting at the polls to say: “we no wan nan ah unu. Jus go away!”  The UDP’s strongest suit is griping. All they are good at is finding fault- opposing every good move by the government.
