Belize City, November 11, 2007 - Club 313 upset the defending champions, Customs/Central Bank, by a score of 11-4 in Friday night’s first game at the home of softball, the Roger’s Stadium in Belize City. Oscar Arnold led Club 313 to victory while Club 313 picked up 11 hits off the pitching of Customs’ pitcher Wendy Gillett.

Ministry of Education/Brodies hand-cuffed the 18-3 in Friday night’s 2nd game as Ministry of Education’s star slugger Joseph Domingo hit 4 RBIs.

Ministry of Education’s pitcher Elvis Franklin held off the cops for most of the game, while the educators picked up hits off the pitching of Leonora Morales for the Police.

  Oscar fires away a pitch for Club 313

Club 313 won their 2nd game of the weekend back to back, again led by the pitching of Oscar Arnold as they outlasted the Belize Bank Bulldogs 14-13 on Saturday. Charles Garbutt on the mound for the Bulldogs held off the Club 313 batters in the last 3 innings, but Club 313 already had a commanding 10-1 lead against staring pitcher Cynthia Villagran and Alan Sharp, Johnito Majarrez, Matthew Anderson and David Vasquez had each scored 2 runs for the Club. The bulldogs got back in the game late as they scored 9 runs in the 5th inning but it was too little too late.

The Belize City Council/Medina's House of Jewelry continued their winning ways by depositing the squad from First Caribbean/AES by a score of 11-4 in Saturday’s first game.  BCC/Medina's were led by Rodney Lord who had 4 RBIs, Reginald Flowers scored 3 runs, and Enid Dakers, Godsden Ferguson, and Bernardo Bennett scored 2 runs each. BCC pitcher Enid Dakers tallied her 6th win as she held off the First Caribbean batters, giving up only 4 hits. Pitcher Bianca McFadzean led the FCIB crew and Ryan Bennett scored 3 runs.

 UB Jaguars handed KHMH some bitter medicine with a 12-10 win in the Saturday’s 3rd game.  Claude "Too Tall" Jones, and Kirk "Shabba" Smith  combined for 5 RBIs to lead the Jaguars to victory, behind the pitching of Roman Flowers. Virge Flowers scored 4 runs, and Roman Flowers and Claude Jones scored 3 runs each. Ricardo Hermoso, David Robinson and Eloy Tierra scored 2 runs each for KHMH while Dorian Jones pitched.

 It was win some lose some for Customs/Central Bank as Wendy Gillett led them to a 20-7 win over COURTS Belize, with Ernest Flowers and Karim Stewart scoring 2 runs each for COURTS, and pitcher Carisha Romero, Jumoke Castro and Keith Pollard adding one run each. Customs catcher Gilly Gordon led the attack by scoring 4 runs and also had the most RBIs as he cleaned up the bases with a grand slam in the 4th inning.

Customs did not do so well on Sunday as the Police arrested them 17-16. Pitcher Leonora Morales led the Police, who took over the game in the 2nd and 3rd innings where they scored 15 runs on 8 errors committed by the Customs/Central Bank team. Pitcher  Wendy Gillett was credited with the loss.

Joseph Domingo again led the Ministry of Education/Brodies with 4 RBIs to their 2nd win of the weekend as they hammered COURTS 19-12. COURTS’ Javier Hoy, Keith Pollard and Kareem Stewart each scored 3 runs against the pitching of Elvis Franklin, but COURTS pitcher Carisha Romero gave up numerous hits as Sherston O’Brien, Yvonne Davis, Joseph Domingo, and Mushae McDonald scored 3 runs each.

The Belize City Council/Medinas' House of Jewelry picked up their 2nd win of the weekend as they muzzled the Belize Bank Bulldogs 13-4, led by the pitching of Enid Bakers

 KHMH got back their mojo as pitcher Arlett Castillo led them to disconnect Telemedia 13-12 for the win. Telemedia’s Francis Usher was credited with the loss.
