The La Democracia School girls came to the district finals as the Belize Rural champions, and won the championship final over the Burrell Boom Methodist School girls in 2 sets 25-14, 25-23. The La Democracia girls had advanced to the finals by eliminating the Hummingbird Elementary School girls 25-19, 25-19 in the opening game of the tournament. The Burrell Boom Methodist girls had also reached the finals by eliminating the Belize Elementary School girls 25-21, 21-25 and 15-11.
The Belize City female champs, the Belize Elementary School girls, won the consolation game for 3rd place against the Hummingbird Elementary School girls 25-11, 25-20.
Elementary girls settle with 3rd place The Belize City male champs, the St. Martin De Porres RC School boys, won the championship final over the St John Vianney School boys in 3 sets: 19-25, 25-22 and 15-12.
St. Martin's volleyball team The St John Vianney boys advanced to the finals after they won the first boys game, eliminating the Belize Rural champs, the Burrell Boom Methodist School in 3 sets: 25-16,17-25 and 15-11. The St Martin’s boys reached the finals by eliminating the Ladyville Evangelical School boys 25-18, 25-10. The Burrell Boom Methodist boys won 3rd place by default, when the Ladyville Evangelical school boys failed to take the court for the consolation match.

The La Democracia girls and the St Martin’s boys will represent the Belize district in the upcoming Central regional finals against the Cayo district champions. |
