Imagine, an Opposition that has demonstrated no imagination
during their tenure, now asking you to “Imagine” the possibilities under their
UDP Government. What a calamity! Imagine that!
On the other hand, the PUP has used lots of imagination so that you may be able to live out the reality of those possibilities. Moving a country forward and facilitating the means for its people requires the skill of using the imagination for any possibility to become a reality. The PUP have demonstrated for more than fifty years that they are the only political party capable of putting to use every bit of imagination as a way forward that benefits all Belizeans. Imagination is a mixture of ideas forming and becomes graphic in the back of your head. This is VISION that creates ideas and transforms itself into perspective. The UDP lacks imagination, vision, ideas and perspective or at least they have demonstrated none!On the other hand, the PUP has shown superior capability because they have all the related qualities that start with the use of imagination. You could see the PUP and the use of their imagination as you appreciate the many development projects that are popping up in every corner of the country. Imagination at work, the implementation of ideas and the realizing of development projects only through the vision of the People’s United Party. When the UDP says Imagine, this is what they mean: Imagine… having to live the UDP years of 1993 to 1998 all over again. Imagine… those days when your family packed like sardines in a mobile home. Imagine… having to go back to those days when our hospitals, clinics and health centers could not provide the necessary medical attention because of lack of vision or gross negligence on the part of Government. Imagine… your child not able to further education beyond secondary school because of a government not able to use their imagination to expand education for the next generation. Imagine… the hundreds of senior citizens that will have to resort back to begging because of a government that does not believe in a pension scheme for them. Imagine… importing all the basic fruits and vegetables from Mexico like it was under the UDP because of their blatant racism and discrimination against Hispanics. Imagine… having to suffer a third period under strenuous conditions that the UDP subjected us to because they lack vision, ideas, perspective and leadership! Imagine… the possibilities that will be lost if we allow ourselves to wonder into the next five years with no viable direction of the UDP. Imagine…walking backwards and having to regret it. Now stop imagining. Let us live out the realities of moving forward! We must be realistic, our deeds has its cost and its worth. Your vote on February will definitely impact your life and that of your children. The proven leadership of the PUP has created many tangible realities that were impossibilities prior to 1998. It is a good feeling when one knows they are facing stormy seas knowing that they are in capable hands of a crew that knows what they are doing and how they will go about doing it. We are talking about the PUP my friend, the global problems affect every one and Belize is no exception but we are better off than many of our regional neighbors. You tested the UDP in 1984 AND in 1993 and they failed as a government. In 1998 and 2003 you rejected the UDP for good reasons, and when in 2006 you gave them a chance to see if they could handle the municipalities, they failed that too! Should we have any doubts on the UDP? Hell yeah! Now they come to us with drummed up proposals that the PUP proposed and met ten years ago. By contrast, the innovation of the PUP is always finding new ways to make life better for every one. They have the imagination that transforms country and people alike to the next level, always moving forward towards our just objective and the blessings of this life. They are focused and capable; they take the calculated risks that are necessary in this global fight. Sometimes progress brings problems in the process of achieving the best for the wellbeing of the people. Even good leadership errs in the process of exploring better ways to move ahead. We have all done deeds with good intention that have not turned up to our expectations but our determination and perseverance have moved us forward. There is no perfect person, party, government or country. There is the good intention and compassion in every man and that helps a great deal to offset the imperfection. Those elements make up the PUP, good intention and compassion. Your vote is important to your children! Don’t waste it on a stagnant future. Vote to continue the progress and development that has improved your quality of life. Vote to move Belize forward and closer to economic independence. Vote PUP and its Team 31! |
