It’s no surprise Moya and her cohorts are falling out since
she has been playing double-cross behind their backs for months now? Her
insiders know the story very well: As Moya travels around the world at
taxpayers’ expense she takes care of nothing except private business. Moya, who
is supposedly concerned about transparency, has been signing things without the
knowledge of her councilor team. What agreements does Moya have with all those
foreign investors who come to see her? Are there no other districts in Belize
where they can invest? It’s simply because Moya gives the impression that
Belize City is the only district in Belize and the capital of the country. She
gives the distinct impression that she’s on the same level as the Prime
Minister. So when the questionable investors come to Belize they go to Moya.
But many soon find out that she is just trying to play big.
But what has Moya got to do with those guys from Houston?
What has Moya got to do with this Leondria woman from Houston who poses as an
investor? Have we not seen her at City Hall enough times, long enough to see
some real investment? Well, it is evident that the highly visible Houston
investment woman may be using agreements signed in Belize with Moya for fishy
business.
Moya is a reflection of what Dean Barrow and the UDP will do if in government. Will the real Moya please stand up and tell us what these investors have been investing on in Belize. Or is it simply an international crooked syndicate meddling in local politics? It is now becoming clear that the UDP Belize City Council is a business-minded criminal gang in Politics. At least Moya’s year and a half in administration, the model UDP government, is proving so. How presumptuous! How can Moya be inviting investors to Belize and entering into agreements based on the assumption that the UDP will win the next general elections? Even if that dreadfulness would occur, will Moya be the Prime Minister to enter into such agreements? That’s counting chickens before they hatch. Perhaps that is why immediately after the City Council elections, she was grabbing impulsively at becoming the Deputy Party Leader. With Moya, it is not about Belize, it is all about her childhood dream of becoming a representative to the United Nations, and a world traveler. The PUP has a proven track record of inclusive governance and flexibility. We will stick with a government that is willing to listen to the people and make adjustments. Even in the face of UDP aggression and instigation and veiled intimidation, the Prime Minister has always remained calm and resolute. Don’t mind UDP propaganda, vote your mind. I am proud to say that the PUP has my commitment. |
